Steve Richter is a talented and versatile musician and composer.  Holding a BA of music from WAAPA, Steve performs regularly as drummer and percussionist with leading groups Wood, Sabroson (latin big band), and Taal Naan (world fusion). He forms half of the Mr Sister duo with Mel Robinson playing electronic percussion, keyboard, vocals and songwriting.

As a composer, Steve has writtern numerous works for Tetrafide, Mr Sister and Defying Gravity.  He has also been commissioned to write both solo and percussion ensemble works for other organisations.  In 2010 he was commissioned to write a film score for the short film “Trigger”.

He was commissioned by Michelle Locke to compose the music for Wu Tao in 2006.   His latest compositions for Wu Tao being the inspiring and evocative music for the new Tao and Surrender dances.
