Wendy began dance at a very early age and her years of regular classes gave way, in her teenage years, to the demands of training for equestrian competitions.
Leaving school she spent many years in corporate and small business working in personnel and admin management roles in Melbourne and Sydney.
After she contracted chronic fatigue, a pivotal time in her life, that ended her business career, she pursued her long held passion and studies in the healing arts and commenced her practice in Sydney’s eastern suburbs in 1991 and then re-established when she returned home to Melbourne in 1998.
Wendy attended the first Melbourne Introductory Workshop for Teachers and “it felt like coming home”. In 2004 she became one of the first Wu Tao teachers in Melbourne with and the Wu Tao Coordinator for Victoria, running many regular classes and workshops. She also had the honour of facilitating the Wu Tao Teacher Trainings in Victoria for some years.
“I had no idea what to expect when I experienced Wu Tao at the Intro day for Teacher Training. It was like coming home… like a part of me returned – I hadn’t realized how much I had missed dance being in my life and that feeling in my body and soul. Immediately I knew this was what I was meant to do. Wu Tao would be the perfect addition to my other modalities to share with others wanting to embody their true self and find their joy and freedom
