CLASH of cymbals, blast of the horns, yes it is 4 am time for a bath in the cold river!
What a great way to start the day! Well it took a few days to see it like that, but this is the time to celebrate Navaratri.
Through the day we talked to others, who were there when Babaji walked the earth and witnessed the miracles first hand, we tasted the fantastic whole- some food on a palm leaf and throw coconuts into the fire to let go of what dragged us down in our lives.
At night there was always a celebration of life and dance, from all over the world, from Eastern Wu Tao to a Japanese silk dance.
It did not take long to feel spiritually at home, either under the Jesus tree or the Life tree, with heart shaped pebbles ready to be picked up and cherished
The colour that is only found in India and the warmth of like finding a lost friend in anyone that you meet, this is the real India.
A new experience in every day that is the celebration of the Navaratri. All gone too fast, but held in a new heart that is yours.

Haidakkhan is a gentle, welcoming and warm space. It is where you can remember who you are. You can immerse and embrace your spiritual self. Or you can eat a samosa and still be a close important part of navatri. You can wash away the karma of many lifetimes, or you can also wash your clothes in the Ganges tributary. It is exhausting, exhilarating, and pure. The aarti lift you up, the fire ceremonies burn away your history. It is real.

What an experience in India, love is all around in the foothills of the Himalayas. Michelle is the perfect person to travel with and explore this beautiful ashram with all the wondrous people from all around the world. My experience was a way of looking inside of myself and interacting with the world around me.
Iām still processing and probably will for some time.
