If you want to be successful in today’s technologically world you need to get savvy with  marketing on and off line!  To create a successful workshop you need to find out where your target market are. Many of them are on facebook and use the internet and social media alot. Hard copy magazine and paper advertising do not have the same reach anymore, however, it’s also vitally important that you reach out to your community face to face to find your potential clients/students.

If you want some marketing inspiration (very necessary along the way), I’m enjoying this guy at the moment. Tad Hargrave Marketing for Hippies. He’s got a ton of free info which is grounded and helpful. It’s so important to be open and interested in learning your craft and marketing is something you have to grasp for business of any kind. I know it’s tough, I know it’s challenging, but it has to be done. So roll up your sleeves sisters!

For this workshop training we are focussing on a few marketing strategies to bring people into your workshop.

  1. Brochure and/or flyers out in the community
  2. Facebook event
  3. Eventbrite event
  4. Networking to local businesses within the community

You need to time out your plan. When we first did this training in 2017, we had 3 months before workshops started in which to learn the skills and implement the strategies. Make sure you give yourself plenty of time to get ready for your workshop. I would suggest at least a 2 month lead in to prepare sufficiently for your workshop.

Other optional  spaces you may like to use to market your workshop include:

  1. Your website
  2. Your facebook business page
  3. A mailing list (people who are interested in what you do).

However, these are not essential for a successful workshop.  If you have them already, then you can use these spaces to promote your workshop.
