What is Hypnosis?

Hypnosis helps us access our inner resources in order to realise our highest potential. We do this by bringing our conscious and unconscious minds into alignment. Hypnosis helps get all our parts on the same page and working together. Most situations can benefit from hypnosis. Here are some things you should know about hypnosis before your first session.

I was originally drawn to hypnotherapy in my role as a palliative care nurse. I’ve found it to be a very relaxing yet powerful way to help my patients reduce their pain, anxiety and stress at this most profound time of their lives. I’ve been helping people with their health in one form or another since I discovered Shiatsu massage therapy back in the 80’s after an injury ended my dance career. I learned early on that I could help others heal and heal myself at the same time. Healing is a dance between people. When healing happens, we restore flow, and feel connected, healthy, energised with a deep sense of well-being. I’ve discovered that there is no separation between mind and body. Healing that happens at the physical level affects the mind and vice versa. Hence the reason I created Wu Tao – The Dancing Way. Hypnosis is a powerful way to access inner resources and create your life of choice and unlimited potential. I use hypnotherapy in private practice to help people through major life transitions, manage anxiety and pain, and change unwanted behaviours such as smoking and drinking.
